What makes ECS different
Fast support. Security built in. Flexible monthly terms.
Response and investigation within one business hour
ECS commits to both responding and beginning investigation within one business hour during published support hours. Qualifying emergencies and outages have an advertised response of under five minutes; 24/7 emergency cover is available for major critical incidents under the relevant terms.
Cyber security as part of managed IT
Security is integrated into managed support, including EDR, Adlumin MDR with a human-staffed 24/7 SOC, proactive patching and secure, immutable backup capabilities. SOC analysts investigate cyber security alerts around the clock; routine infrastructure alerts are normally handled during business support hours. The precise controls and deployment scope are agreed for each customer’s environment.
Rolling monthly support agreements
Customers stay because the service works, not because of lengthy fixed-term managed support contracts. Eligible reductions in users or services can lower monthly charges following 30 days’ notice; third-party subscriptions may have separate commitments.
Proactive improvement
ECS uses automated infrastructure monitoring around the clock, with routine hardware and software alerts normally investigated during business support hours. It reviews recurring ticket trends, collects customer feedback and invests in tools, products and service improvements to reduce disruption and strengthen protection.
What 24/7 really means
Human-led cyber security monitoring, clearly distinguished from automated IT monitoring
Not all 24/7 monitoring is the same. ECS explains the difference so businesses know what happens to alerts outside normal office hours.
24/7 human-staffed cyber security SOC
ECS uses Adlumin Managed Detection and Response (MDR), backed by a human-staffed Security Operations Centre (SOC). Security analysts review and investigate suspicious security activity at any time, including overnight, weekends and bank holidays. Response, escalation and containment actions follow the agreed MDR configuration and authorisations.
24/7 automated server and device monitoring
ECS monitoring tools automatically watch supported servers, hardware and software around the clock and generate alerts. Routine infrastructure alerts are generally reviewed and acted upon during normal business support hours; this is not a promise of a staffed 24/7 infrastructure helpdesk.
24/7 emergency contact for critical incidents
ECS provides a 24/7 emergency number for qualifying critical IT incidents. This is separate from standard helpdesk availability. Emergency eligibility, response commitments and escalation depend on the relevant service agreement.
Example: If suspicious cyber activity is detected at 2am, the human-staffed Adlumin SOC can investigate under the MDR service. If a non-critical server health warning is generated at 2am, automated monitoring may record the alert for routine investigation during the next business support period.
